Vimeo is a Training connection. Connect your property's Vimeo account, then add its videos to any Activity with a Vimeo block.
Before you start
A Vimeo account that holds the videos you want to use.
Pro tip: Connect with a group account, such as [email protected], rather than a personal one. The connection keeps running when people change roles, as long as Vimeo allows group accounts.
Steps
Select Connect on Vimeo. In the sidebar, select Add connection at the bottom of the Connections list to open the Connections page.
Sign in to Vimeo and allow Paddl the access it asks for.
Add a video to an Activity. When you create or edit an Activity, choose Vimeo under Add Content, then search for and pick your video. You can use its thumbnail as the Activity's cover image.
Which videos you can add
Each video shows its privacy setting in the picker.
Videos from your own account can be added with the Vimeo block.
Videos limited to approved websites can be added with a warning. Make sure Paddl is on the video's list of approved websites in Vimeo.
Videos set to private embedding can't be added. Change the setting in Vimeo first.
Manage the connection
Select Vimeo under Connections in the sidebar to reauthorise, turn it off or disconnect it.
Good to know
Paddl saves the details when you add a video. The title, thumbnail and duration are taken from Vimeo at the time you add it.
Videos from other accounts. To add a Vimeo video that isn't in your connected account, use Paddl's own Video block under Add Content and paste the video's link. See Activity content blocks.
